She is on the cover of the 2016 Simply Crochet Calendar: the crocheted doll that makes a crochet scarf (a scarf on a doll scale and scarf on a human scale).
Drawing the characters for the calendar, imagining every little detail made by cotton yarn and stuffing fiber, it has been a wonderful job. Create, month after month, new amigurumi that are already designed and printed on paper (and perhaps on the walls of your home !!!!!) is every time a small, but fun, challenge.
This doll was immediately one of my favorite characters. We share a love for large and wrap-around scarves and, of course, for crocheting. While the carrot-red hair and long and lean legs, are a projection of what I would like to have.
It might be fun to imagine and create a smaller version of themselves, made with the crochet hook, between the balls of yarns and other passions. I can start to think about me: with dark, long and unkempt hair, flat shoes and a mustard sweater while I’m dragging a bag heavier than me, running to not miss the bus. And your doll, how would it be?

The crochet pattern for doll and scarf is inside Simply Crochet issue 39 (December 2015).
