The Instagram challenge dedicated to amigurumi is back for its 8th year!
Stretch your hands and get your camera ready because AmiguruMay is almost here. This May, I’m inviting you to join me in a month-long celebration of all things yarn, crochet hooks, and amigurumi friends. Whether you’ve been crocheting for a decade or just finished your very first project yesterday, this challenge is for you!
What is AmiguruMay?
AmiguruMay is a chance to share your love for amigurumi with a warm community or crochet enthusiast! Unlike challenges that require you to make something new every day, this is a photographic and video challenge. It’s about showcasing the amigurumi you’ve already made, your process, everything behind those single crochet stitches.
How to join in?
Follow the Prompts: Each day in May has a different theme. Interpret each day’s prompt in your own unique way!
Post & Share: Share a photo, a reel, or a video on your Instagram grid inspired by the daily prompt.
Use the Hashtag: Tag your posts with #AmiguruMay2026 and tag me @airali_gray so I can see and reshare! And also use #amiguruMAY2026day1, #amiguruMAY2026day2 and so on… until day 31
