After a few months of waiting, the amigurumi pattern to make Ruty has arrived!
Who is Ruty? They are a little mandrake, with a warm smile, broad leaves and dangling roots!
Ruty was born at the end of last year and spent the cold season in her crochet pot until I decided to take step-by-step photos to complete the pattern.
The photos of the steps are a very important part and also the task that takes the most time (of course after the design itself!).
Although it is not a very complex pattern, I have included 80 photos to support the written instructions. The fact that there are very few seams (just the leaves and roots!) always makes the written instructions longer. The photos come to the rescue to lighten all that load of words and visualize “where we are” step by step. Do you always follow the step-by-step photos carefully, or do you rely on written instructions and numbers only?
* the 10 pages PDF pattern uses US crochet terms
* there are 2 samples with different yarn thicknesses
* and 2 pages of amigurumi tips and techniques!
I’m already thinking about making another version using a darker brown and shades of lilac and purple for the leaves… I always get lost in a thousand variations. I’m always very curious to see the same design in other colors and different kinds of yarn!
I hope you’ll like Ruty and I’m curious to find out the colors and yarns you choose.
I am keeping the 20% OFF discount active until the end of AmiguruMay!
