The sad sofa is slowly changing its mood and even mine.
Some pillows and some special objects made the difference.
I had two cotton balls of yarn, in beige and mustard, they was on the shelf for a long time, made a trip by plane, then they discovered how ugly is to stay enclosed in a cardboard box. I finally decided to use them to make an unusual crochet net that would become a pillow.
The only stitiches I used for this pattern are: chain and single crochet (double crochet in UK terms). For a long time I had in mind two nets of chains that are joined each other, but you know that sometimes what seems wonderfully beautiful in our imagination is a total ruin in reality. This time those two things perfectly fit together and I instead of enjoying that moment (and shake my own hands) I think that the next ten times I will not be so lucky. I was born pessimist! But even stubborn!
Despite the apparent simplicity, there are several steps to follow to allow the two net chains to fit between each other and proceed smoothly row after row. So I wrote the pattern and photographed step by step the whole process for a perfect Doppia rete (Double Net). The crochet pattern is available on Ravelry (there is a discount of 25% until May 25!).
