Summer weather was not the best, autumn is doing quite well and is nearing the time to change my summer wardrobe to my winter wardrobe and add some new purchase (it’s a moral obligation to open a new season!). It’s also the right time to spend a few relaxing evening with of a ball of yarn, a crochet hook and a movie in the background … a movie already seen a thousand times so the eyes can focus elsewhere ;)
Crowdknitting, for October 2014, presented 3 new free patterns: Petali di Tulipano shawl by Natascia Sartini of CollettivoMaglia198, Io e l’inveno cowl always designed by Natascia and Castagna, my very warm cape.
My Castagna cape pattern (and for all other models of the month!) is available for download in the pattern area on Crowdknitting. Update: this pattern in free on Ravelry.
The introduction from the pattern:
“Castagna is a crocheted cape made using Nature by Borgo de’ Pazzi, a completely natural pure wool yarn with no added chemicals. In fact, this yarn’s completely natural colour, its slubbiness and thickness make it the real protagonist of this pattern. Designing this cape I tried to enhance these characteristics, as well as its softness and warmth, to create a handy piece of clothing with a simple design enriched by the yarn texture, its slubbiness and its colour nuances. (English translation by Giulia Brazzale)”.
Thanks to my sister, once again the model, and my friends from the virtual-office always ready for any advice!
