It’s known, in the world of amigurumi everything is possible. Even a pig wearing a swimsuit with white and green stripes and brings everything it needs for a day at sea: towel, bucket, scoop and a rubber ring (tailored to his belly!).
While I doodled this pig (for the 2016 Simply Crochet Calendar) imagined how to make all the pieces and accessories for the pattern, but I left out one detail. How to photograph the pig on real sand when the sea is a lot of miles far?
The Thames riversides, have stunning views, but they are not the sea. The parks with play area with sand are rare (although I had found one when I photographed the Onde bag!) and are always full of children, barely dressed even in winter. After a few minutes, when I was already resigned to the classic white background, the shelf with flours provided me the right answer. The new dilemma was: corn flour, chickpeas flour or semolina flour? What did I pick up? Bets are open ;))
Beach babe pattern is inside issue 46 of Simply Crochet. This Ravelry page shows the projects published in the magazine, all inspired by summer holidays!
